Energy Benchmarking - Compare Energy Performance

Energy benchmarking compares a building’s energy performance against that of similar buildings. Our proprietary energy analysis tools normalize for weather, size and operational characteristics, allowing comparisons to be made on a level playing field.

Benchmark Energy Usage

By looking at your building's energy consumption according to industry-standard energy metrics, Bright Power can assess energy performance and identify potential areas for improvement.

Bright Power’s online benchmarking software, EnergyScoreCards™, is a user-friendly tool that uses monthly utility bills to monitor your building's energy performance.

Mandatory Benchmarking

If you have a building in New York City that is over 50,000 square feet, you are required to benchmark the building's energy usage annually, under New York City's Local Law 84.  Find out more here.

Other cities that have mandatory benchmarking requirements include: Washington DC, Seattle, Austin, San Francisco, and Philadelphia.  Contact us to find out how we can help you comply with these requirements, and provide some really valuable energy management advice in the process.
