MG Properties Group
As a value-add apartment investment and management firm, MG Properties Group (MGPG) saw an opportunity across its portfolio to increase cash flow by reducing water and energy expenses. However, the firm did not have the resources internally to become experts in energy and water analytics, incentives, and retrofit implementation.
They called on Bright Power to develop a tailored strategy to target properties for immediate impact. MGPG began using Bright Power’s EnergyScoreCards platform and implemented it across its California properties. Our teams continue to work together to holistically review their portfolio and identify areas of opportunity to reduce energy and water waste.
Bright Power’s project management team and the MGPG capital projects managers worked together to implement retrofits at the portfolio scale, upgrading twelve properties at once. We also designed and implemented improvements at other MGPG properties, including Stonewood Gardens. In doing so, MGPG is able to deliver on their promise to investors while decreasing their impact on the environment.
