As part of the auditing team, Bright Power has been nominated for an EBie award for the project in Revere, MA.
From the EBie website’s announcement:
With $4 million in funding from the Green Retrofit Program for Multifamily Housing run by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Steven’s team worked with Bright Power and KOW Building Consultants to do a complete energy overhaul on Jack Satter House and its 266 units. Source energy intensity dropped by over 20% after installation of a co-generation system and a web-based energy management system. In almost every apartment, new ENERGY STAR air conditioning units, refrigerators, and radiator control valves were installed, keeping residents engaged in the whole process from design to commissioning. Thanks to this retrofit project, Jack Satter provides a more comfortable home for its elderly residents, along with lower electric bills and more systems control for Steven’s team.
