LA Better Buildings Challenge Honors Jonathan Rose Companies’ Properties with Portfolio of the Year Award for Strides in Building Sustainability

At its 6th annual Innovation Awards on April 29, the Los Angeles Better Buildings Challenge (LABBC) presented the city’s most prestigious sustainability prize to water and energy efficiency leaders whose 2019 achievements were unmatched. Among the awardees was Jonathan Rose Companies, this year’s recipient of the top award for Portfolio of the Year.

“Prior to acquisition, Jonathan Rose engaged Bright Power to conduct ASHRAE Level II energy audits and Enterprise Green Communities (EGC) feasibility studies then developed a scope that optimized available incentives for energy and water efficiency available through the Low-Income Weatherization Program (LIWP), LADWP, and SoCalGas. Bright Power was engaged to navigate the incentives process and implement the energy and water retrofits directly. The team worked with the owner’s New York based Sustainability and Construction teams to finalize budgets, scopes, and plan the projects.”
