This year’s Community Impact Award nominee projects represent a number of projects Bright Power has contributed to recently. You can read a bit about each of those nominee projects below.
Archer Green: Omni New York LLC / ESKW/Architects
Bright Power is helping incorporate efficiency measures such as advanced water conservation, renewable energy, and on-site generation to limit reliance on energy provided by the grid, in addition to providing LEED NC certification services and enhanced commissioning, which will ensure the systems are installed and are operating as designed. Bright Power will also install our Resilient Power Hub—73 kilowatt (kW) solar photovoltaic (PV), 250 kW battery storage, and 140 kW of cogeneration—to build in resiliency and meet the everyday power generation needs of the building.
Chestnut Commons: Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation, Mutual Housing Association of New York, and Urban Builders Collaborative / Dattner Architects
In addition to the design and installation of 90 kW of solar PV and a 35 kW cogeneration system, Bright Power is providing Passive House consulting and verification services, Enterprise Green Communities certification services, commissioning, and technical support for this project’s participation in NYSERDA’s New Construction Program.
Dekalb Commons: St. Nicks Alliance, Bed-Stuy Restoration Corp. / Magnusson Architecture and Planning (MAP)
Bright Power is providing Passive House consulting and verification services, commissioning, Enterprise Green Communities certification services, solar design consulting, and technical support for this project’s participation in NYSERDA’s Multifamily New Construction Program. Dekalb Commons is a NYSERDA Buildings of Excellence Award Winner.

Linden Terrace, Phase 1: Radson Development / Magnusson Architecture and Planning (MAP)
Bright Power provided Enterprise Green Communities certification and commissioning. Bright Power is also delivering the technical support for this project’s participation in NYSERDA’s Multifamily New Construction Program. Linden Terrace Phase 2 and 3 both are NYSERDA Buildings of Excellence Award Winners, each phase expanding on the sustainability features in Phase 1.
Park Haven: The Community Builders / SLCE
We are providing Enterprise Green Communities certification services, solar PV design and installation, commissioning, high performance building consulting, and TR8 energy code progress inspections. Bright Power is providing Passive House certification services, Enterprise Green Communities certification services, commissioning, and NYSERDA New Construction Project program management. Bright Power also designed and installed the 158 kW solar array.
Vital Brookdale: MDG Design + Construction, Smith & Henzy Advisory Group, and The New York Foundling / Dattner Architects

3500 Park Apartments: The Bridge / ESKW/Architects
Bright Power installed a 98 kW solar PV array on The Bridge’s largest building to date.
Acacia Gardens: Acacia Network and The Promesa Housing Development Fund (PHDFC) in partnership with the East Harlem Council for Community Improvement (EHCCI) / Magnusson Architecture and Planning PC
