Omni New York, LLC - Bright Power

Omni New York, LLC’s commitment to sustainability and resident comfort brought them to Bright Power. Over the course of our partnership, Bright Power helped Omni save significantly at eight of their existing properties, including River Park Towers, and use energy efficient design for their first new developments, Morris Avenue Apartments, Park Avenue Green, and Archer Green.

Bright Power improved building performance and efficiency across Omni’s portfolio through EnergyScoreCards, energy auditing, feasibility studies, compliance, commissioning, Passive House certification (PHIUS), Enterprise Green Communities (EGC) certification, LEED certification, and incentive management. Omni has also utilized Bright Power’s expertise in renewables and resiliency. Bright Power has designed and implemented solar PV and cogeneration at multiple Omni properties and is designing and implementing our Resilient Power Hub—a combination of solar PV, cogeneration, and battery storage—at their latest new development, Archer Green.

River Park Towers

River Park Towers, a two-tower 1,654-unit low-income housing in the Bronx, had energy problems that were severely impacting energy consumption, tenant comfort, and cost. When Hurricane Sandy hit, the lack of backup power was dangerous to tenants and building operations.

First new development for Omni New York, LLC brings energy efficiency and on-site generation technologies to the Bronx. Having previously worked together on many existing buildings, Omni felt confident in designing their first new construction project with Bright Power.

Park Avenue Green

Omni New York, LLC combines Passive House, solar PV, and cogeneration for controlled operating costs. Park Avenue Green received its Passive House certification in March 2019 and is the largest Passive House certified project to date.
