Project Highlights

Selfhelp Community Services, one of the largest not-for-profit human service agencies in the Greater New York area and longtime client of Bright Power, began using MoBIUS energy management services in 2015.

Through an integrated and holistic approach to energy management, Bright Power provides Selfhelp Community Services with operations and maintenance education and training. We created equipment manuals, tracked repairs, trained site staff, deployed digital maintenance rounds, filed compliance reports, piloted a remote monitoring system at one property, and regularly reported on savings and operational improvements.
Processes and protocols were put in place to ensure their operations and maintenance teams were able to do more than react to problems.

Throughout the partnership, Bright Power continues to help Selfhelp Community Services reduce maintenance issues, identify and fix technical problems, improve organizational capacity, and secure incentives through New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) real-time energy management (RTEM) program. As a result, Selfhelp Community Services has realized consistent savings.
