Bright Power is one of 20 finalists chosen from a pool of more than 300 companies to compete to be named one of the five Take the H.E.L.M. winners and receive and award of $250,000. Our company is a finalist in the Expanding in Lower Manhattan Category. Winners are announced on March 14th!

Take the H.E.L.M. – Hire + Expand in Lower Manhattan
NYCEDC and the City of New York are committed to the continuing diversification of the Lower Manhattan economy. The Take the HELM Competition will attract and promote those companies that are driving the growing innovation and creative economies in Lower Manhattan and provide them with cash prizes and media exposure to support their growth. The best applicants will Take the HELM by drawing media attention to the changing business dynamic in Lower Manhattan and establishing offices and bringing jobs that symbolize the area’s diversifying economy.
The Take the HELM Competition is an initiative of New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), made possible by a grant from the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation (LMDC) and funded through Community Development Block Grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). HR&A Advisors, Inc., manages the competition for NYCEDC.
