Andy Kern is the Vice President of Energy Markets at Bright Power. With over 16 years of experience in the North American energy industry, Andy keeps our clients up to date with commodity markets, regional utility changes and the geopolitical intelligence they need to implement holistic energy supply strategies. Working with clients using green power, renewable energy credits, community solar subscriptions and demand management all while factoring in the client’s risk tolerance, Andy’s team helps clients attain their sustainability goals.

Since taking over the Energy Supply Management Team in 2020, Andy and his team have more than doubled the Power and Natural Gas volumes that Bright Power manages. Prior to his role at Bright Power, Andy was the Managing Principal for an energy consulting firm that served large commercial and “MUSH” clients from Boston to Washington, DC. Andy began his energy career developing large commercial solar and wind projects throughout the Northeastern U.S.

Andy has decades of experience serving on many boards and different roles of Municipal and County Government. Andy currently serves on the Board of Social Services.
